West Buckland Racing Club
A unique opportunity to get involved in the Alex Dunn Racing team at a fraction of the cost of owning your own racehorse.
Full Ownership Experience
Our aim is to give our members the full ownership experience, including owners badges on race days, regular stable visits, services of a dedicated Racing Club Manager & regular e-mail updates on the Racing Club horses, together with a variety of social events at the races and the stables.
The club will be managed by Dave Arthur, who also runs syndicates at Alex Dunn Racing and is an owner with Alex in his own right.
Dave has a lifelong experience of Racehorse syndication, as both an owner and Manager of his own syndicates for over 30 years.
West Buckland Racing Club members will have an interest in at least 1 horse throughout the year and will be endeavouring to beat last year's outstanding performance of 8 winners from only 23 runners.
This year's stars :
Helium or 'The Legend' as he's known, will be looking to entertain his legion of fans across the West Country Racing circuit, as he bids to add to his incredible hat-trick of chase wins.
Latest Update: 22nd July 2018 - Helium being prepared for his seasonal debut in the next week or so.
Geni Johnson is a 6 year old mare by the Irish Sire Mountain High, who has produced high class performers Air Horse One, Sykes and Kilronan High, amongst many others.
She joined the yard in November 2017 and has had a couple of Novice Hurdle runs for Alex, showing great promise last time out at Wincanton.
Latest Update - June 2018, Geni Johnson finished 2nd at Stratford over hurdles under Tom Scudamore.
Bought from the Nicky Henderson stable, Cool Macavity has been a grand servant to his owner breeder, with a win at the Punchestown Festival to his name. He has already had very good 2nd places on the Flat & over hurdles since he has arrived in Somerset and he will be a very popular addition to the Club ranks. He should be able to run around the tight West Country tracks like Taunton & Newton Abbot, throughout the season.
UPDATE: 21st July 2018 - Cool Macavity finishes second at Stratford!
